• Who says that activities in Washington don't affect us directly? A photo taken near the entrance to the Everglades National Park just west of Homestead, Florida, in late 1995. The photo was taken during the government shutdown at that time. That situation (thanks, Newt (you %^&^#@%!)), coupled with the unseasonally cool weather, contributed to a trip that was less than what we expected.
