Exams will involve a mix of multiple-choice, matching, short answer, compare-and-contrast, and statement-evaluation types of questions. To do well on the exams, students will need to recall information presented in the sessions, apply it to real and hypothetical situations, and critically evaluate the implications of that information.

Notes: The grading system is subject to change. The class will be kept informed of any changes that are implemented. Due dates for assignments and dates for exams will be announced in class. It is the student's responsibility to keep aware of all assignment / exam dates. Points will be deducted for assignments submitted late; details to be provided in class.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Attendance is expected at each session, and will be taken. In accordance with university policy, students missing more than four consecutive sessions will be readmitted only after receiving permission from both a Dean of Student Affairs and the Department Chairman. All work missed must be made up within the following week, or by arrangement with the instructor.

Students who miss an exam will not be given a make-up. Instead, if the excuse is legitimate as determined by the instructor, the grade for that exam will be the average of the two that remain. If the excuse is not legitimate, a grade of zero (0) will be assigned.
